EU Walk

Wednesday, October 4th, East Union Community Schools partnered with our community to participate in the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative Walk. Our Secondary students spent the morning with our little eagles, building connections. They spent time in the classrooms playing games, reading books, learning about technology, having dance parties, and more.

Students and staff then picked up their fabulous, healthy, fun lunches from our cooks before heading out. Secondary students were paired with Elementary students to walk the Afton Trails to the fairgrounds where we enjoyed a nice picnic lung.

Each of our middle school and high school homerooms worked together and planned activities for students and staff to enjoy once we completed our picnic.

We ended our healthy walk event with a large group picture before students headed back to school for classes the remainder of the day.

Thank you to the Union County Fairgrounds for allowing us to use the new small animal barn for our event. We would also like to thank Greater Regional Health for the donation of water bottles for our students and staff during the walk.

Go EAGLES!
