ASPIRE Super Kids: Partners & Possibilities
On November 15th, the ASPIRE Super Kids welcomed Jodi Hitz back from ISU Extension. This month’s lesson focused on a variety of colorful and nutritious fruits.
She led the kids in a game called “Name that Fruit”. She would call out a color and the kids would have to come up with a list of fruits that are that particular color.
Mrs. Hitz then divided the kids into 4 groups to get started in the kitchen. The four projects included making fruit salsa and homemade cinnamon chips, along with fruit kabobs and a sweet yogurt dip. Everyone did a great job working together and loved getting the opportunity to sample their fruity snacks.
Thank you to Mrs. Hitz, for being one of ASPIRE’s partners this year. The kids can’t wait to see what she has planned for next month.
