Law enforcement is not just about fighting crime, sometimes it requires grillin’ and chillin’ with students and staff at East Union. The scene at East Union, Tuesday, was filled with great food and fun. “Greater Lunch with the Law” and "Popsicles with the Police” were held to show the local law enforcement's commitment to enhancing the trust of students and the community. This year, with the support of Greater Regional Health (GRH) and Fareway, students and staff in the MS/HS were able to enjoy lunch for free. It was a beautiful day of eating outside and burning off a little energy. After serving the Middle and High School, the officers joined everyone at the track. Then, thanks to GRH, those in the elementary school were able to enjoy a sweet treat in their classroom. Deputy Patch, Crisis Response Canine, stole the attention throughout the afternoon as students and staff were able to interact with the lovable border collie.
Evidence was clear, it was a fun event for everyone!
