As the new school year approaches, some high school students may wish to take online classes. If you are a student in the high school that wishes to schedule online classes, you will need to set up a meeting with Mr. Riley and Ms. Thompson to discuss their schedule and online coursework. You can contact either jriley@eastunionschools.org or sthompson@eastunionschools.org to set up this meeting.
Due to the recent changes at the state level regarding attendance, we will be having informational meetings for all parents and students in the middle and high school. During these meetings, we will explain the changes and how these changes will impact the way attendance is recorded and reported. It is important that you attend one of these meetings if at all possible. The meetings will be held in the auditorium on August 13th or 15th at 6pm or August 22nd at 7pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at jriley@eastunionschools.org.
Any high school students wanting to create their fall schedules are welcome to drop by the school on August 5th, 6th, or 7th from 8:00 am -2:00 pm to plan with Mrs. Thompson. This will be drop in only and will be first come first serve. Please plan on this taking at least 15 minutes as you will need to update your 4-year plans while you are here.

"Family Week" starts today Sunday, July 28 to Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024. There will be no sports or activities for East Union Community School District. This includes practices, camps, clinics, workouts, strength and conditioning, lessons, and activity meetings.
"Family Week" is implemented by the Unified Activity Federation (Iowa High School Athletic Association, Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU), Iowa High School Music Association and Iowa High School Speech Association).

The start of the 2024-25 school year is almost here! In-person registration is Thursday, August 1st from 1:00-7:00 pm in the commons. Registration paperwork is available on the EU website for you to download, fill out and return to the school ahead of time.
