This week, members of YACC (Youth Answering the Call of the Community) from East Union and Creston attended a Youth Leadership Conference in Diagonal. Youth Philanthropy groups from across the state came together to grow in leadership and service to their community.

It's GREAT to be an EAGLE!! With many of our sports and activities starting to enter the postseason, we have some amazing students to celebrate! We will host a Pep Rally on Thursday, February 8th @ 2:20pm. This will take place in the HS Gym. We will be celebrating girls state wrestling, state speech, state drill team, Muscle Mat Club state wrestling, state archery, district FFA, district/regional basketball, district wrestling, and more! *This pep rally is open to the community. If you are attending, you must enter through our Central Office on the West side of East Union Middle School/High School. You will be required to check-in so please plan accordingly.* Community member seating will be located on the North side of the upper bleachers.

**RECORD BREAKER ALERT** With his 4 steals in the Nodaway Valley game, Austin Lack has now set the new Career Steals Record for East Union Boys Basketball! The record was previously 199, Austin is now at 212! Congrats Austin!

The Boys Basketball Playoff bracket has been released and the Eagles will be hosting Nodaway Valley on Friday, 2/9 at 7 pm. Tickets will only be available online, through Hometown Ticketing, no cash sales. The link to purchase tickets will be sent out once it is made available.

Today, our Muscle Mat Club & Middle School wrestlers traveled to Glenwood for District AAU Wrestling. These kids left it all on the mat and earned a trip to the Well on Saturday, February 24th. Weston McFarland- 1st 🥇 Silas Hayes- 1st Charlie Shawley- 2nd 🥈 Truett Needham- 2nd Joe Hayes- 2nd Caden Clear- 4th 🏅 Corbin Hoffman, Titan Haight, Tristin Haight, and Talon Smith gave it everything they had with each match and came up short today.
