

Students from East Union achieved top honors at the Iowa Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference held in Cedar Rapids, March 29th - 31st. Four members competed in business events, with one student qualifying for the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio this summer.
"Our students demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and professionalism," said DJ Christensen, FBLA Chapter Advisor. "These accomplishments reflect their commitment to developing business skills".
Key Award Winners Included:
*Brock Driskill: 1st Place in Economics, 1st Place in Agribusiness, 1st Place in Personal Finance, and 4th Place in Securities and Investments.
*Cyler Wuebker: 7th Place in Job Interview.
*Carter Harper: 8th Place in Intro to Public Speaking.
*Peyton Cunningham: 9th Place in Future Business Leader.
The State Leadership Conference brought together over 1,200 students to participate in competitive events, attend leadership workshops, and network, preparing them for careers in business and entrepreneurship.
DJ said, “I am extremely proud of these students. We are a brand new club and did not know what to expect going into district and state competitions. These four members not only placed 1st or 2nd at Districts but also went on to State and finished in the top 10 overall.”

- Avery Cheers finished in 7th place in Bullseye and qualified for a guaranteed spot at Nationals!
- The High School Bullseye AND 3D teams both shot qualifying scores for Nationals, but aren't guaranteed a spot
-Asher Aldrich was the recipient of a $500 Scholarship!

This service project was appreciated and recognized by the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) as a service award winner. Students accepted the plaque, along with a $500 donation to our activities.
We are very grateful for all the support our project receives each year.

Khloe was among the 25 selected to represent Radio News Announcing at the All State Festival, out of the over 350 contestants throughout the state of Iowa!
The All State Festival will be on Monday, March 30th at the University of Northern Iowa. We are so proud of you!
