PBIS News from East Union Elementary Guidance Counselor Mr. Thad Tussey:
October Review:
We closed out October with an assembly about fire safety and emergency planning, giving students the opportunity to hear from special guests. A big thank you to the law enforcement officers, volunteer firefighters, and first responders for being guest speakers. We also celebrated Red Ribbon Week at the end of October, focusing on healthy choices, creating a long elementary red ribbon paper chain 'linking up against drugs'. In classroom guidance lessons, students spent time learning about bullying awareness and prevention. Our students showed great engagement throughout the month!
November Assembly:
In November, we to celebrated our PBIS Golden Ticket Award winners and recognize classrooms that earned Traveling Trophies from our specials teachers, custodial staff, and kitchen staff. This month’s theme was all about gratitude and thankfulness. our students embraced it by 'be-leaf-ing in gratitude' and creating leaves with what they are thankful for. Each week, classroom teachers led activities that encouraged students to reflect on what they’re grateful for and how they can show appreciation to others.
We are proud of our students and staff for their hard work and positivity.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
