East Union Community Schools

The High School Baseball game for Thursday night at Clarke will now be Varsity only, beginning at 7 pm.

High School Softball is still JV/Varsity with JV beginning at 5:30 pm.

Last week East Union Schools partnered with Juvenile Court Services, local law enforcement, Greater Regional Health, and Fareway to bring back "Greater Lunch with the Law" and "Popsicles with Police", our annual outreach event. This was a great opportunity to build positive relationships between law enforcement, members of the medical profession, our staff and the students. Thank you to Greater Regional Health and Fareway for making this event possible!

State Track shirts are in and being sorted! They'll be ready for pickup between 2/2:30 today from the CLC!

Ticket Punched! Zayne is on to State!

Congratulations to Zayne Eslinger, who finished 4th in today's Boys District Golf Tournament, punching his Ticket to the State Meet next Tuesday! The Boys finished 7th out of 20 as a team!

Congratulations to our Eagle Archers! We have Championship Qualifiers following the National tournament in Louisville! Avery Cheers has qualified as an individual and the High School team has also qualified.

The Championship Tournament is June 18th - 20th in Daytona, Florida!

Eagle Activities this week, 5/18 - 5/23

The High School Boys Golf District Meet in Oskaloosa originally scheduled for Monday 5/18 has been postponed to Tuesday 5/19 due to the weather forecast.

The Lady Eagle Golfers are moving on! They finished 3rd as a team in the 1st Round of Regional play today at Sidney and qualified for round 2! Kathryn and Gwen also qualify as individuals, finishing in the top 6!

Kathryn Lack finished 4th
Gwen Nixon finished 6th

The Lady Eagles will now move on to Round 2 in CAM on Wednesday 5/20!

On Tuesday, May 12th we honored our seniors at awards night. We would like to thank everyone who came together to recognize these students for their outstanding work through their high school career. Congratulations seniors!

After nine months of dedicated leadership sessions, we are proud to announce our newest group of Lead UC graduates!
It has been a privilege to watch each individual grow and sharpen their skills, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make next.
Graduate Jaida Fischer sums up the experience perfectly:
“I would recommend Lead UC to anyone wanting to strengthen their leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of our community. Through this course, I made numerous connections and learned so much. The overall impact on both youth and adults truly makes this program worthwhile.”
The Lead UC program is heading into summer break and will return this September to welcome a brand new cohort of leaders. See you then!

Congratulations to Morgan Cooley! Morgan won both the Discus and Shot Put at tonight's State Qualifying Track Meet, punching his ticket to the State Meet next week!

The Eagle Golf Boys are moving on to Districts! Zayne Eslinger finished Runner Up and the team finished in 3rd place. They will now play Monday 5/18 in Oskaloosa.

Tickets for Thursday's State Qualifying Track Meet at Central Decatur must be purchased on-line. They won't have a card scanner at the gate, so purchases must be made prior to arrival.

We’re excited to welcome our local first responders, public safety officers, and medical professionals to campus, Wednesday, May 13th! They will be firing up the grill to serve our Middle and High School students lunch and serving popsicles to our Elementary students. Greater Lunch with the Law and Greater Popsicles with Police is an opportunity to build positive relationships with our first responders and medical professionals!
