From the TK and Kindergarten Teachers:
Students had such a fun time up at Raccoon River, in West Des Moines. We got to learn about environment, nature, and habitats. The animal we got to focus on was beavers!
We played games to have all of the elements of a beavers habitat, got to touch and look at the characteristics of beavers, and went on a hike to find things on our scavenger hunt!
We then enjoyed lunch and finished with playing on their huge playground!
Thanks to Ms. Jess for all the work and instruction for this event. We also want to thank all the parents who volunteered to join us . Thank you to our bus driver, Cole and the PTO for allowing us to have this trip!
