For those planning to attend the High School Wrestling tournament at East Mills on Saturday, please be advised, due to facility upgrades in the works, their parking lot is currently gravel. Due to the melting snow and rain, the parking lots are currently a little messy, so they advise "not to wear your favorite shoes."

The High School Basketball games with Southeast Warren on Monday, 1/29/2024 will now be Varsity Only, with the girls game starting at 6 pm. There will no longer be a Boys JV game prior to the Varsity games.

East Union will be hosting a JH Wrestling meet on Tuesday, 1/30/2024, with wrestling starting at 4:15 in the Elementary gym.

Due to the previous Basketball/Band Senior Night being cancelled on 1/18, Senior Nights have now been rescheduled to the following dates : Girls Basketball : Monday 1/29/2024 - Prior to the tip off of the Girls game Boys Basketball and Band : Tuesday 1/30/2024 - Prior to the tip off of the Boys Game

Good Luck to the HWY 34 Wrestling Team! They'll be competing at the Regional Tournament in Sioux City today, fighting to punch their ticket to the State Tournament! Good Luck Girls!

The JH Girls and Boys basketball games in Diagonal previously rescheduled for today, have been postponed to Friday, 1/26/2024.

Due to today's school cancellation, East Union will not be hosting FAFSA night tonight. East Union families are invited to attend TRIO's FAFSA completion event on Wednesday, January 31st from 5:00-7:00 pm at SWCC's Creston location. More information will be shared soon.

East Union will have a 2 hr delay today, Jan 23 - NO morning activities

Eagle Families: Iowa put in place the ability for districts to utilize up to five "virtual days" in order to make up the time missed due to adverse weather conditions. We were hoping to not utilize that option as we value face to face time with our students. However, with the weather we've experienced the last two weeks we've had more missed days already than in recent school years. If we have to miss more school due to weather conditions in the coming week(s), we will be utilizing virtual learning for those days. Elementary students will be bringing home a folder with work, middle and high school students will be bringing home their Chromebooks to receive and complete work from their teachers. The High School Boys/Girls Basketball game previously postponed with East Mills will be made up on Wednesday, 1/24 with Varsity girls beginning at 6 pm. No JV. We have also added a JV/V Boys basketball game at Essex on Thursday 2/1, with JV beginning at 6 pm.

Today East Union students participated in District Large Group Speech contest at Clarke. Each group created and delivered great entertainment for us! Lots of new, young talent was on full display today. We advanced 1 event to state in Ankeny on Saturday, February 3rd. Receiving a I rating, qualifying them for state is our Radio Broadcast: The Real Talk Members: Rebecca Young, Mia Tallmon, Emma Vandel, Kathryn Lack, and Khloe Parker. Receiving a II rating and performing extremely well today Radio Broadcast: The Know Members: Brock Driskill, Zayne Eslinger, Wyatt Proffitt, and Aiden Denton Group Improv: Amateurs Members: Zayne Eslinger, Jensen Waigand, Aiden Denton, and Brock Driskill.
